There are several home based jobs available. You just have to pick from the “right source”. Earlier, people in India used to trust any random company online and even send money to them to get work from them. Later, they don’t get paid as the companies may “reject” their work for some reasons or suddenly abscond without even replying. I’ve personally seen people lose lakhs of rupees to such online scams.
But these days, there are other “proper” ways to spend your time doing something and getting paid as well. Take up a project from a freelancing site like Freelancer or Upwork and when someone awards you a project, they “have” to deposit the funds with the Escrow service and your money is safe even before you start working!
Given that you deliver the work according to the agreed requirements, there’s no way you will not get paid for what you’ve done. You can also select buyers based on the feedback they’ve received from other freelancers. If you find them reliable, then all you need to do is work & get paid & worry about nothing!
My personal experience has been great. I’ve tried many type of jobs from Data Entry to Form Filling to Surveys to Captcha Typing to Content Writing to Designing to Editing/Proofreading to Admin Tasks to Marketing, and lotss more! I’ve been scammed many times but I took everything as a positive experience and learned from the mistakes I made. I’ve got many clients from freelancing sites and forums and referrals and the journey has been great and am still growing :)
How much they pay:
Payment differs from $1 to $1000 or even more, depending on the tasks. A survey/form filling may pay 1$,2$,3$. Blog writing may pay 3 to 10$. Logo designing may be 5–25$. Website design projects may pay 50 to 5000$. So it depends on what your skill set is!
When you work through freelancing sites, you can create small milestones and get paid in parts. So payment is guaranteed if you deliver work, properly.
Selection Criteria:
Decide about the payment terms clearly and don’t work with someone who doesn’t seem legitimate. There are so many other opportunities online and its easy to find clients/get work.
